Ballymoe attempts Guinness World Record

Ballymoe extends an invitation to the seven continents of the world to send representatives, drawing on our worldwide friendships and our diaspora in an attempt to break the current World Reord for having the largest number of beards and mustaches in one place.

With Family Fun at it's core ladies and children are encouraged to create/make/mould beards and mustaches for seperate competition categories.        

There will be separate competitions for National and International beards and mustaches from the elegant and scientific to the whacky.

The weekend will be packed with music, craic, storytelling, poetry, (by an open turf fire) craft and open air markets, talks on our locality including our heritage and rich local history.

Children's Village with beard making, bouncing castle, swings, slides, face painting, pony rides, competitions and lots more.
