Féile Neidín is a new Irish music festival which will will run for the first time in the year of the Gathering. As the Irish for our town is Neidín (little nest) we are subtitling the festival "Return to the Nest!",which we think fits perfectly with the sentiment of the Gathering year. Our headline act for the weekend is the internationally acclaimed "De Dannan" and additionally our "Generations" concert which will be an evening of Father/Daughter duets including Brendan/Clíodhna Begley, Peter/Angelina Carberry, Donal/Melanie Murphy and Connie/Aíne O'Connell. All the available venues (pubs/restaurants) in town will host acoustic Irish sessions throughout the weekend, workshops in all instruments will also feature. Our hope is that we will attract people worldwide, especially from the USA. In recent years in Kenmare many tourists have been returning again and again due to it's growing reputation as a town for catching live Irish music sessions.
